The Dutch online gambling market is starting a new licensing cycle. As a result, the Dutch Gambling Authority, or KSA, has approved follow-up permits for eight operators. The first group of permits reaches its initial expiry at month-end.
The new licences run from October 2026 until September 2031. In turn, they let approved operators continue serving the Dutch market without a gap. This gives both operators and customers a clear timetable.
Which operators received renewed licences?
The first group includes TOTO Online, Holland Casino Online, Kansino, FairPlay Casino, Bingoal, bet365, GGPoker, and BetCity. In addition, the KSA named the companies behind each brand in its decisions. These companies cover several established brands in the country.
Dutch regulators granted the original licences in 2021, when the current market opened. Those permits expire in September 2026. For that reason, each operator had to submit a new application. The KSA did not renew the licences automatically. The renewal cycle now tests the market’s first years of compliance.
How the KSA assessed each application
The KSA reviewed each operator’s record from the previous five years. In particular, it checked past breaches and the steps operators took to prevent repeat problems. It also considered each response after a breach.
